This Grazier’s Marketing School is designed for those graziers who want to double their dollars per animal by capturing the other 50 percent of the consumer’s meat dollar. This school will cover the advantages and disadvantages of many forms of direct marketing. Joel Salatin is the guru of direct marketing and has a lifetime of advice to give you. Carolyn Nation will teach men the nuances of how to market to women and vice versa and Allan Nation will make sure all of this advice makes good economic sense. A major emphasis of this school will be on avoiding deadbeat customers and negative cash flow situations. Some of the marketing venues that will be covered are:
■ Meat buying clubs ■ On-farm stores ■ On-farm heritage food events ■ Cooking schools ■ Restaurant sales ■ Farmers’ markets ■ Festival marketing ■ Internet marketing including websites, blogs and links ■ Piggyback product marketing

Also covered will be abattoir issues, frozen versus chilled meats, product sampling, risk management and government regulations. This Grazier’s Marketing School is limited to only 26 people.
